Job Summary
Conduct direct resident care and manage delivery of nursing care in acute care settings, including Med Surg, ICU, ED, and Behavioral Health units. Synthesize best practice protocols with patient data to determine course of action, identify clinical changes, and communicate via SBAR format. Include patients and families in care plans from admission to discharge while documenting interventions per hospital policies. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, trauma program development, and facility DECON or emergency preparedness drills. Provide break support, assist staff in LTC with technical skills, and serve as an IT resource for physicians on EHR modules.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- 4-6 years in Med/Surg, and/or two years of ICU/Critical Care/ED experience
- The individual must be able to work the hours specified
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- the ability to communicate effectively with others
- hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years in Emergency Department, Critical Care/Intensive Care, charge nurse, float pool nurse, or resource nurse in an acute care setting
