RN Resource Nurse Med Surg/Post Op

Conduct primary admissions for the assigned unit with high emphasis on medication reconciliation and expedite bed assignments via Teletracking. Perform daily patient rounds, provide clinical education to staff, and assess individual development needs. Collaborate with the house supervisor on discharge barriers and lead clinical quality initiatives. Document incidents and validate education records to maintain unit standards. This 12-bed Med Surg/Post Op unit serves spine, orthopedic, ENT, and general medical patients. The role supports a growing surgical department with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
