Job Summary
Manage the health, safety, and well-being of developmentally disabled clients in residential and day programs, maintaining 24-hour accountability via an on-call system. Serve as the healthcare representative by conducting quarterly physical assessments, developing quarterly healthcare reviews, and administering medications according to state and federal guidelines. Monitor medication audits, review medical documentation, and ensure compliance with CRI policies and DDS regulations. Provide in-service training to staff on medication administration, first aid, and emergency protocols while functioning as a healthcare liaison with providers. Report healthcare issues to leadership and facilitate the implementation of health care services at the facility. Monday through Friday flex schedule with on-call rotation; serving the Thomaston and Torrington communities.
Required Qualifications
- Current CT RN License
- Valid CT driver's license
- Ability to drive own and agency vehicles
- Good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Good to excellent oral and written communication skills
- Thoroughness and follow through on daily work assignments
- Motivation and interest in improving quality of life for the population served
- Optimistic attitude, patience, and compassion for and with the population served
- Ability to organize and prioritize medical responsibilities to completion
- Monday - Friday Flex Schedule with on-call rotation (Serving the Thomaston and Torrington communities)
