Job Summary
RN Resident - Gastroenterology at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus provides direct nursing care on the GI/Gastroenterology-Digestive Disease Institute unit G100, participates in a residency core curriculum, collaborates with a success coach, and supports critical thinking and patient care for adults with GI ailments (e.g., GI bleeds, pancreatitis, liver disease). The role emphasizes ultrasound exposure, adherence to a strict patient-to-staff ratio, data-driven risk management, documentation, and growth within a team-oriented, education-focused environment. Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am; unit supports ongoing learning and supportive mentorship from experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current state RN licensure
- Diploma/ADN/BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Ultrasound experience (ambition/interest)
- Experience or interest in gastroenterology/hepatology units (GI/GI scope)
