Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and deliver education on preventative health, diagnosis, and treatment. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe administration of care. Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards in this 42-bed skilled care facility in Brainerd, MN. Evening shift runs 2:00pm to 10:30pm with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for Every Other Weekend and Rotating Holidays
- Must be available for Evening Shifts (2:00pm to 10:30pm)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
