Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement interventions for health maintenance and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, providers, and families to plan and evaluate care plans while educating residents. Serve as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe administration of care within the Nurse Practice Act. Maintain competency in age-specific standards and department-specific certifications as an unencumbered Minnesota RN. Work evening shifts (2:00pm–10:30pm) every other weekend and rotating holidays at this 42-bed facility in Brainerd, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
