Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care and implement appropriate interventions. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency in the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Work as a PRN nurse with varying shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations, at a 42-bed long-term skilled care facility in Brainerd, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Must be available to work 6 shifts per month to include two weekend shifts and holiday rotation
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
