Job Summary
Conduct heart disease prevention and recovery support by monitoring gym participants, intervening on safety risks, and restructuring exercise routines, eating habits, and stress levels. Collaborate with patients to plan lifestyle behavior changes, discuss heart-healthy meal planning, and provide guidance on effective regimens. Assist with medication administration and encourage participants to pace and push through program goals while researching latest cardiovascular disease management techniques. Maintain awareness of all gym participants to prevent problems before they occur.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
- At least 2 years of inpatient or outpatient cardiology/telemetry experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
