Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit, implementing and monitoring patient care plans while interpreting rhythms and analyzing lab values. Coordinate patient care across disciplines, carry out physician and nursing orders, and manage IVs, medications, wound care, and patient/family education. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Provide full-time coverage in days or nights on a 7-on/7-off rotation.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
