Job Summary
Assess patients, interpret cardiac rhythms, and analyze lab values to detect medical or cardiovascular issues on the telemetry unit. Implement and monitor patient care plans while administering medications, managing IVs, and providing wound care. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to execute orders and manage discharge planning needs. Educate patients and families on their conditions and interventions. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
