Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by administering medications, managing IVs, performing wound care, and interpreting cardiac rhythms. Monitor and record patient conditions, analyze lab values, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care while communicating with providers. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders in accordance with established protocols. Provide patient and family education and implement care plans. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and a nursing diploma. Full-time roles offer 12-hour shifts with 7-on/7-off rotation, including days and nights.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
