Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient conditions, and communicating status to providers. Assess patients, interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. Administer medications, manage IVs, perform wound care, and educate patients and families. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while utilizing advanced telemetry technology to detect medical or cardiovascular issues and prevent emergent situations.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
