Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient conditions to providers. Assess patients, interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and manage IVs, medications, wound care, and patient/family education. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated care and execute physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Provide telemetry monitoring for patients with medical or cardiovascular issues on a 18-bed unit in Trussville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
