Job Summary
Assess patients, interpret cardiac rhythms, and administer medications on the 6North telemetry unit. Monitor patient care plans, coordinate interdisciplinary efforts, and manage IV therapy while preventing emergent situations. Perform wound care, educate patients and families, and lead discharge planning with the healthcare team. Note and carry out physician orders while communicating patient status to providers. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification, and a nursing diploma.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
