Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 18-bed Telemetry Unit by assessing patients, interpreting rhythms, analyzing lab values, and administering medications. Implement and monitor patient care plans while coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to manage discharge planning. Manage IVs, perform wound care, and educate patients and families. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Full-time shifts available days (7 am–7 pm) or nights (7 pm–7 am).
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure at time of hire
