Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and coordinate patient care on a 18-bed telemetry unit specializing in cardiovascular issues. Interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care and patient/family education. Implement care plans, communicate patient conditions to providers, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while utilizing advanced telemetry monitoring to prevent emergent situations. Full-time days or nights shifts available with 7 On/7 Off rotation.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure at time of hire
