Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing, coordinating discharge planning, and communicating patient conditions to the healthcare team. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, manage IVs and medications, and provide patient and family education. Interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and coordinate with all disciplines to prevent emergent situations on the 18-bed telemetry unit.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted BLS certification
