Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing and monitoring patient care plans, assessing conditions, and communicating updates to providers. Interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and manage IVs, medications, wound care, and patient education while coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across all disciplines. Perform these duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure at time of hire
