Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing and monitoring patient care plans, interpreting rhythms, analyzing lab values, and administering medications. Coordinate patient care as a primary point of contact for physicians and nursing orders, while managing wound care, IV therapy, and patient/family education. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team to prevent emergent situations. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification, and a nursing diploma. Full-time shifts available days (7 am–7 pm) or nights (7 pm–7 am).
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure at time of hire
