Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care on a 18-bed telemetry unit. Assess patients, interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Manage IVs, administer medications, perform wound care, and educate patients and families. Coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Detect medical or cardiovascular issues and discover interventions to prevent emergent situations using advanced telemetry support.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
