Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient conditions, and communicating updates to providers. Assess patients, interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and manage IVs, medications, and wound care while educating patients and families. Coordinate interdisciplinary care, carry out physician and nursing orders, and lead discharge planning efforts. This role supports the detection and prevention of medical and cardiovascular issues in an 18-bed unit within UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
