Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient conditions, and communicating updates to providers. Assess patients, interpret rhythms, analyze lab values, and administer IVs and medications while educating patients and families. Coordinate with all disciplines to manage discharge planning and prevent emergent situations through advanced telemetry monitoring. Maintain licensure as an Alabama RN and BLS certification. Part of UAB St. Vincent's, a 125-year legacy provider serving Alabama with five hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure at time of hire
