Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing and monitoring patient care plans, interpreting rhythms, analyzing lab values, and administering medications. Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other disciplines to manage patient conditions, execute discharge planning, and provide education to patients and families. Manage IV therapy and wound care while utilizing advanced telemetry technology to detect and prevent cardiovascular issues. Maintain BLS certification and Alabama RN licensure. Join a collaborative team at UAB St. Vincent's East serving Alabama patients with compassion and personalized care.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted BLS certification
