Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient conditions, and communicating status to providers. Assess patients, interpret rhythms and lab values, manage IVs and medications, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care while utilizing advanced telemetry technology to detect and prevent cardiovascular issues. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while educating patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
