Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care on the 6North telemetry unit by implementing and monitoring patient care plans, interpreting rhythms, analyzing lab values, and administering medications. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs. Perform assessments, patient and family education, wound care, and IV management while utilizing advanced telemetry technology to detect and prevent medical or cardiovascular issues. Note and communicate patient conditions as appropriate to the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
