Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Work full-time nights (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) on the 18-bed 4 Surgical orthopedic unit at UAB St. Vincent's East. Requires current Alabama RN licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
