Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for orthopedic, bariatric, and neurosurgical patients in accordance with established policies and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Work full-time nights (7p to 7a) on an 18-bed unit at UAB St. Vincent's East, requiring current Alabama RN licensure and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
