Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients undergoing orthopedic, bariatric, and neurosurgical procedures. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Full-time night shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) at UAB St. Vincent's East. Requires current Alabama RN licensure and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure at time of hire
