RN - Registered Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Multiple Shifts

Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients in the 14-bed SICU. Implement and monitor patient care plans while continuously recording and communicating patient conditions. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the broader healthcare team. Maintain BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications within 30 and 180 days of hire, respectively, while holding current Alabama Board of Nursing licensure. Work multiple full-time shifts including 12-hour days from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
