RN - Registered Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Multiple Shifts

Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients in the 14-bed SICU. Implement and monitor patient care plans while continuously monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, including assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately. Maintain BLS certification within 30 days of hire and Advanced Life Support within 180 days. Work multiple shifts, including full-time days from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
