Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients in the 14-bed SICU, implementing and monitoring care plans while recording and communicating patient conditions. Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care, including carrying out physician and nursing orders and assessing discharge planning needs. Work multiple shifts, including full-time days and 12-hour rotations, with continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring support.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
