Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients in the 14-bed SICU. Implement and monitor patient care plans while serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care. Assess patients, record and communicate their condition, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Requires BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications, plus Alabama RN licensure. Multiple shift options available including full-time days and 12-hour rotations.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
