Job Summary
Administer medications per SSH policy, including reconciliation and narcotic discrepancy resolution. Develop and document individualized plans of care, initiating admission assessments within eight hours and updating daily care via whiteboard. Perform patient safety protocols, verify two identifiers before invasive procedures, and adhere to CDC hand hygiene and universal precautions. Collaborate with the clinical team to address ethical concerns, facilitate discharge by noon, and represent patient/family needs. Maintain compliance with MA Nurse Practice Act, privacy standards, and mandatory education requirements while utilizing departmental software and Lotus Notes.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
