Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to care for individuals in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, promoting health and preventing illness through systematic critical thinking. Deliver patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and psychologists, while managing all aspects of nursing care for patients and families. Delegate and coordinate care plans using the AACN Synergy Model to support restorative and supportive interventions. Earn BLS certification within 30 days of employment, with ACLS or PALS depending on the unit. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
