Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit for critically ill post-surgical, neurosurgical, and neurological patients. Implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, and serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Work full-time nights in three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
- Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shfts, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
