Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for critically ill patients, including post-surgical, neurosurgical, and neurological cases. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. Full-time nights shift (7:00 pm to 7:00 am) with 3 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
- Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shfts, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham
