Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for critically ill patients in the 14-bed SICU, including post-surgical, neurosurgical, and neurological cases. Implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, and coordinate with all disciplines for well-coordinated care. Carry out physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator for patient care transitions. Full-time nights shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
- Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shfts, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham
