Job Summary
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) trainer position within Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center (HATC) supports the SANE Training Manager by assisting with scheduling, curriculum development for Tele SANE and SANE programs, community education, and statewide initiatives. Responsibilities include involvement in SANE case reviews, content development, participation in Tele SANE hiring and training across WA, ensuring DOJ SANE Guidelines, providing Tele SANE coverage during daytime hours (3 days/week) and at least 4 weekend or night shifts per month, and travel throughout WA up to one-to-two weeks per month. Requires nursing degree, 3+ years of SANE experience, and completion (or willingness to complete upon hire) of HMC 40-hour Core SANE and Pediatric SANE trainings. Bonus details include various shift differentials and benefits; the role is primarily on-site with possible occasional work-from-home considerations. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Three or more years of recent SANE experience
- Experienced SANE with understanding of processes at all emergency departments staffed by the HMC SANE team for acute sexual assault exams
- Successful completion of the Harborview Medical Center 40-hour Core SANE training
- Successful completion of the Harborview Medical Center 40-hour Pediatric SANE training (or willingness to complete upon hire)
