Job Summary
RN - Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing care to residents in a not-for-profit senior-care facility. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation), collaborating with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care, and coordinating care, resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe, reliable administration of resident care within the Nurse Practice Act and applicable state rules. Emphasis on geriatrics, preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment in a Christian elder-care environment. Describes the practice setting, competency expectations, and ethics guidance from the American Nurses Association. Shift details include day, night, and weekend differentials and a variety of scheduling needs for PRN staffing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
