RN (Registered Nurse) PRN MedSurg Oncology -Days

RN (Registered Nurse) PRN in Medical-Surgical Oncology, Day shift at WellStar. The Oncology unit is a 28-bed inpatient unit serving adult cancer patients with inpatient treatments and telemetry. Requires minimum 2 years of current experience in the specified area, plus computer/data entry experience. Epic and 3M experience preferred. Core responsibilities include applying the nursing process, delivering relationship-based patient-centered care, coordinating care through effective partnerships, and ensuring care is evidence-based and individualized. The role emphasizes teamwork, documentation, adherence to policies and procedures, participation in performance improvement, and ongoing professional development. Certifications required on hire include RN licensure (single-state or compact), BLS, and ACLS (with instructor or provisional options). Additional emphasis on mentoring/precepting other staff and students, and supporting safe, high-quality patient care within the oncology context. The position is PRN with three shifts every 28 days, including weekends/holidays when applicable.
