Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents, managing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, and families to coordinate care and educate residents on preventative health and treatment phases. Serve as charge nurse when needed, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain full scope of nursing expertise according to state Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Operate in a Christian environment at GSS NE Alma, Alma, NE, with 12-hour day shifts on a PRN basis.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
