Job Summary
Direct and monitor the personal care duties and nursing care procedures carried out by Nursing Assistants on the assigned team. Assist with direct resident care as necessary, report unusual symptoms or changes in condition to the Unit Manager or Charge RN, and ensure the Plan of Care is followed. Manage controlled substances by receiving them from the Supervisory Nurse and overseeing their safe storage and distribution in medication carts, cupboards, and refrigerators. Document all applicable care in Nursing Notes, Medical Administration Records, and Treatment Records while monitoring care standards to respect resident rights and preferences.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials as a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a current State license
- Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others
- Caring, respectful attitude towards residents
- Physical stamina for constant activity
- Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence
- Demonstrated willingness to uphold the vision and mission of the company by following the core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Passion for Excellence and Reverence for the Individual
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
