Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for post-operative bariatric patients on a 24-bed unit, implementing and monitoring care plans while communicating patient conditions. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as a primary coordinator ensuring comprehensive support for patients recovering from gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy procedures.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
