RN - Registered Nurse - Post Surgical Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care for post-operative bariatric patients, including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy cases, while implementing and monitoring individual care plans. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to execute orders and manage discharge planning needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for patient condition assessments and communication across the healthcare team. This role is based at UAB St. Vincent's East in Trussville, Alabama, within a 24-bed unit. Full-time positions offer days (7a to 7p) or nights (7p to 7a). Candidates must hold current RN licensure in Alabama and obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
