RN - Registered Nurse - Post Surgical Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for post-operative bariatric patients. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. This role supports a 24-bed unit focusing on Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy patients at UAB St. Vincent's East, offering multiple shift options including full-time days and nights.
