Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for post-operative bariatric patients, including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy procedures, by implementing and monitoring care plans while recording and communicating patient conditions. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Work full-time days from 7a to 7p or nights from 7p to 7a in a 24-bed unit at UAB St. Vincent's East, Trussville.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
