Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for post-operative bariatric patients, including Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy, while implementing and monitoring individual care plans. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assess and manage discharge planning needs, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team. Serve as a primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across the 24-bed unit. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders in accordance with established policies and protocols. Full-time days (7a to 7p) and nights (7p to 7a) shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
