Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for post-operative weight loss surgery patients. Implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, and serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Full-time days (7a to 7p) and nights (7p to 7a) shifts available at UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
