RN - Registered Nurse - Post Surgical Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care for post-operative bariatric patients, including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy cases, in accordance with established protocols. Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. Work full-time days from 7a to 7p or nights from 7p to 7a on a multiple shift basis at UAB St. Vincent's East.
