Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a technically complex environment, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to AACN's Synergy Model. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education for competency validation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while supporting clinical educators through orientation. Requires ~6 months of ICU or PCU experience, state licensure, and graduation from an accredited nursing program. Full-time, 72-hour pay period with day and night rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- ~6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
